5 hours ago5 hr Aw man, that hurts. I really grew up watching him on ST:TNG and he’s so implanted in my brain as a gentleman and a man of peace. Fair (solar) winds and following (cosmic) seas, good Captain. 5 hours ago5 hr Author Walter Koenig from the original series died a few days ago, too. Just Shatner and George Takei left.
5 hours ago5 hr Just a few days ago when Koenig died I thought how lucky we Next Generations fans are that all actors are still alive. And now the Universe answers this thought by taking away the greatest of them all first.I'm now 3 years older than he was when he first played Cpt. Picard and to me he was the greatest fictional father figure anyone could ever had.He turned all of my closest friends into Trekkies when we were teenagers. We admired him immensly. His diplomatic skills, the way he could negotiate himself to an agreement with basically anybody. And Stewart kind of fused with the character to us. Only solidified later when he played Professor X as if the character was written just for him. What a legend that man was. And what a sad day this is. 😢

2 hours ago2 hr A Classical Actor and not just a Hollywood buffoonI’m sure he’d rather be remembered for his Shakespearean roles, but he became a positive role model - and father figure - for millions, instead One of my favorites, and absolutely The Best Star Trek Captain of all time.
