How much system RAM does this use? I’d like to try it but it seems RAM could be an issue (I have 32GB)

Sounds immersive! Im definitely up for trying it. If done right I’d really like to see it on other planes as well..

I'm with you on this. I don't care who is reporting. The data is the data and doesn't care about your political affiliation or if you're a billionaire (or billionaire supporter) or not. We should be trying to see ways we can save people who may be impacted by this weather event. If the deniers are right? Great at least we were prepared for the worst. If the scientist are right, then we may have chance to save people.

If you're enjoying the A380, then yes, I would recommend the 350. It was a no brainer for me. Trust them to fix anything that pops up.

They will need a new revenue stream. We should be getting a 2028 version then 2 years of work at least. This would be the end of the 10 year commit correct?

I do a lot of belief suspension in the sim, but it gets VERY hard to do when I get "report traffic in sight" and I can't see any. Or contrails and no airplane. I try very hard not to complain, but dam... can more attention be paid to some of the fundamentals? (Traffic and weather?)

I'm all for everyone getting a World Update. I'd like to see what Africa has to offer and not just South Africa or Egypt. I'd like to see the areas around Kuala Lumpur and south east Asia get a look. India would be good. The Middle East. Maybe these places have the same issue as China and the geo political stuff, but IMO, it would be nice to see other areas than the 2nd or 3rd (Insert North America or European) country update.

For my part, I find it strange that a flight simulator does not have an emphasis on weather. Weather, IRL, determines if a flight even goes or not. I get it, it's just a "game", but what are we doing if weather is not even the biggest concern. IMO, I'm not sure they need to have something so intrinsic to the activity of flying need a ton of upvotes. That said, I like to believe I'm a reasonable person and had a reasonable expectation that 2024 would be fixed up in no time as the company would have learned from 2020. Yet, here we are in 2026 and the biggest lessons seem to be how to pass on visual simulator regressions. It's still a good sim, but if I had my druthers, I'd like to see weather fixed (systems and sim depictions), ATC structure fixed, the culling of entire planes fixed, then so on. Until that stuff is fixed, if ever, I'll continue until something better comes along. It's pretend flying so, I just pretend everything is OK.

I have a similar issue with the DA62 (default) plane. Engine 2 will not start but 1 will.

Thank you for this, but I have tried this several times to no avail. Additionally, tried clearing both CPT and FO's messages and "COMPANY MESSAGE" will not disappear for me. I guess it just likes my COMPANY... I tried the Google AI answers and none of the three suggestions made it go away either. (Deleting the WASM, clearing all messages, and changing options about auto receiving messages)

My quick two cents: I have been exclusively flying the A350 for a few months. I enjoy the hell out of it. Does it have problems? Yes it does: 1) "Company message" will not disappear 2) With GSX on, "Ground" will flash constantly 3) Every AIRAC update is kinda wonky. (I have to update the new data more than once before it takes and displays the correct date) 4) Terrain data doesn't seem to download correctly 5) I have WASM crashes 3 times in over a year of flying Even with the above I have no issues continuing with the plane and buying the A380. I'm reasonably confident they will fix this.

Good info in this thread. I came here as I’m looking for more immersion in my flights. Typically I’ll get fixated on an airliner for awhile (a350) currently, then fly short to mid routes (which aren’t real world routes but I don’t care about that). GSX helps with the little animated people getting on and off as well as ground crew. Id like what SayIntentions does with the flight attendants where they speak about flight times, weather, destination information etc… however I’m not interested in a subscription. I was looking at Self Loading Cargo. Anyone have experience with that? For an airline management game that is NOT MSFS based, look up SkyCharts: Airline Executive. It seems pretty deep.

I grew up with gaming and I don't mind watching games. I still actively play WoW and I love 4x games (gee your mind out of the gutter!). On Steam, I recently purchased SkyChart Airline Executive. If you remember Aerobiz, it's a more complex version of that game. I think many on this site would actually love this game. (You create an airline and manager several variables not the last of which are airplanes, routes hubs, etc..) Then you have historical events like WW2 and such all the way into the future. I plan on buying Tokon (A Marvel fighting game) as soon as its available. If you like Marvel characters, give it a look. I play Street Fighter 6. One of these days I'll finish Tyranny and move on to Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin (the last few games are Computer Role Playing Games. (CRPGs) and are full of story and action. As someone who does sim as United, I decided to turn off the terminals (terminal detail) UAL does NOT use to see if that helps the VRAM situation.

I do not think my observation or opinion was pointless. It's a point of reference for others to try to see if they get the same result. Of all the posts about "running out of VRAM" this is the first I've seen requesting total VRAM. Usually stating the card is good enough. Did a flight in the A350. ATL to ORD at twilight. I have a 4090. At about 400ft, hard stutters then VRAM messages. I wasn’t too upset as I also had BATC running with irl traffic. The airport looked great and it was awesome to hear all the traffic, but I now know I can’t take the 350 in there without adjustments. I’ll try the return flight and see what happens.

I was trying to see how to use self loading cargo and GSX with voice. I think voice to the ground crew of GSX would be immersive . Unfortunately if it’s GSX with SayIntentions then I’d pass but hope others enjoy.

When I left EWR tonight around 2200L, the temperature from my car’s readout was 102F. Never seen a temp that high at night.

For airliners, I download fictional UAL liveries if UA never the type. For example, A350, A380, etc... I also love alternate colors for airliners or for particular cool liveries such as the Star Wars or the good ole Kulala Flying 101. For my limited GA, my tastes are similar. If it looks cool, I'll grab it. How do I determine if it looks cool? I can decide in a handful of pics. (Most can see the quality of the livery as we browse through the photos thus I'm not listing it) Is the livery in colors I like? If not, is it so unique that I have to have it? Is there work done in the cockpit is a bonus. I appreciate all the painters out there. I'd love to learn but I do not know where to start.

Did the flight with GSX and BeyondATC. Plane "felt" much like the 2020 version to me. A bit more agile than I would have thought for such a large plane but having never flown an A380 IRL, it was fine to me. Frames were very good and almost all of the flight the FPS were rock solid. No resource warnings. ILS capture was fine. Managed speeds seemed to stay below what the "tape" was recommending on decent, but again, as a non IRL A380 pilot, not sure if that's a real thing. If you liked the A380 in 2020, I think the A380 is better and you do not need a texture mod (as FBW stated) to enjoy it. PS: Of some note, BeyondATC did not connect to the onboard radio. I do not know if that is an FBW issue or a BATC issue. Also, of note, GSX could NOT push the plane from the gate. The dialogue was normal, but the plane would not move, and the GSX initial pushback process would reset. Use the onboard tug if you fly this with GSX. Huge thanks to FBW for the free aircraft. I think most of us appreciate you guys at FBW as well as a good aircraft.

Initial test of the A380 for me: At Drzewiecki Design KEWR with traffic (plane and ship traffic active) Random thoughts: I set my system for 40 FPS and have 3x Frame gen on. System held rock solid 40 FPS. The OIS doesn't seem active (the 2020 version is), but I did not load a Simbrief FP. All the controller settings from the 2020 version worked in the 2024 version. Could not find if there was a different SB profile. Cockpit viewpoint seemed a little off. Did not see any functional additions to the KKCU. Graphics in the cockpit seemed sharper. No RAM warning notices at all. (Repeatedly looked towards NYC) Next, I'll take a flight from EWR-IAD and test flight and systems. Right now, it seems way friendlier (as far as frame rates and resource use) than the 2020 version. For reference: i13900k (Mild OC), 32GB RAM, 4090
