Yeah, I can't believe the temps in the mid-Atlantic and New England lately. It's about 10 degs. cooler where I'm at in middle TN, and we're in the South! Just shows you how strange the weather can be

Yikes! Seems in the British Isles it won't be as bad as the recent one, bit cooler, but still in heatwave territory. Not as humid according to the MetOffice.

Yesterday, Thursday, was 104f, today was 103f, tomorrow 101f. Too hot for South New Jersey and the Philadelphia area. All that heat with high humidity.

Well, at least it's fake science.😉

Just got an e-mail from the water works this morning warning "Don't water your plants! Water for basic human hygiene necesseties only!"

While we're entering another heatwave in southern Germany, it feels like it'll be a lot less taxing heatwise this time around. Highs around 30, lows around 15. Last one a few weeks ago was more like highs 35+, lows 20 at best, and even if, that was just for an hour or so around 4 am. The night time low makes all the difference.

It seems the soil around here has dried out really quick. I think for me personally, I'd still prefer high humidity and lots of thunderstorms over dryness though, but that's just me. I guess I'm more of a swamp rat than a desert rat.

They are saying it looks increasingly likely that a super El Nino will occur before the end of the year. 81% chance.

How much were those portable air-conditioning units, again? 🤔

I'm thinking of wearing a jacket to breakfast this morning! Wonder if I should crank up my heater? It's been
overcast, foggy and drizzle every morning this week when going for my daily walk!

Temp is Fahrenheit....don't know why the Centigrade is not there!

There is a breeze and it’s okay sat in the shade. But it’s time to watch the last Brit at Wimbledon so I’m indoors all afternoon with the windows and patio doors open. No air cond here! 😎

It's the humidity that's the issue for me. I can remember walking around the ruins of Pompei in June not that long ago and temp wise it felt like the lava was still flowing! but it was dry as a bone and so hot but comfortable. Cut to Orlando start of August 1999 and humidity like a tropical rainforest, unbearable.
Down on the south coast where I liveToday is 30 degees C (86f) and 55% humidity in my living room I'm sweating my bit's off!
Outside it's 35c (95f) in the shade and there isn't any.

But we're british we'll carry on regardless of social mediaa reminding us constantly the THE USA has AC why don't we 😅

For the small number of days each year when it would be helpful it’s not worth the cost.
