We have an old Victorian house built in 1889, 137 yrs old. Still rock solid on a stone foundation. Very little is level or plumb anymore, adds to the character. As for modern day construction, I spent 20 yrs in residential construction, 10 yrs framing houses, 10 yrs working on existing homes. I never once witnessed any work like the OP or left a job looking like that. Not easy when you're working on homes 200 yrs old. We called it pride and taking ownership of your work. I changed careers in 1994 and became a physical therapist for the last 32 yrs. I'm a lucky fellow to have two careers vastly different, but I loved them both. Retired now, thank God.🤸‍♂️

Lucky for me, my wife and I love fresh cooked beets. Slice them a little on the thin side, saute them in a mix of butter and olive oil with a little salt and pepper, delicious!

I heard on the news that airliners normally have about 90ft of clearance over the turnpike when landing on runway 29. Yikes!

I've driven the NJ turnpike past the Newark Airport, EWR, at least a couple hundred times. I've never seen any aircraft use the runway perpendicular to the turnpike(11/29), only the runways that run ~ parallel. Runway 4L/22R is 11,000 ft and 4R/22L is 10,000 ft long. Why have a 767 land on runway 11/29 that is only 6,700 ft long. Landing distance for a 767 is 5000 to 6,000 ft. The ATC's fault or the pilot trying to stick the landing on a short runway? Anyway, the poor truck driver deserves a raise and a commendation of some sort. Addendum: I just read that they were directed to use runway 29 due to windy conditions.

I'm going shopping at ACME market today to pick up a few things. I remember when their fresh ground Eight 0'Clock coffee was the best. I wish they sold rocket powered backpacks.🚀

I would love to see someone take it up to 300 mph/483 kph on a closed course. Has this been done yet and is there a video of it? I assume it's a weeeeeeee bit expensive.

About 150 mph tops for me on a 190 hp motorcycle. It was on a race track, not a road. 150 mph gets your attention. It's the 70° right hand turn at the end of the front straight that makes you 💩 your pants.

I think I would like to return as some kind of sentient intelligent being on anther planet in God's vast universe. Perhaps another galaxy far away.
