Upcoming soundpack for PMDG lineup

as someone that flies these daily, the sounds in the flight deck are superb. I just wish he didn't have the analog standby displays; it masks a lot of other sounds.

  • Boris’s sounds are on another level. If you close your eyes, you will literally hear no difference between the real thing and his sound package.

Okay then let me ask you something. Did you sit in the 737 for 7384 hours over a period of 10 years? Facing the engine on approximately 4 sectors a day? Over 5 days a week? No doubts that the pilots t

Love it.  Hopefully it has seamless integration with FS2Crew and GSX.

Fantastic sounds, it's one thing i found severely lacking in MSFS compared to XPlane, with the payware sound addon's . Great to see them start to roll out here.

While most sounds are spot on. Especially the trim sounds, they are soooo much better than PMDG's. Also, the fuel pump and hydraulic sounds close to the over-wing exits are so much better. However that engine roar is waaaay off during takeoff. The 737 doesn't sounds like that from any angle - I wonder if they are just trying to be very different from the PMDG's sounds when it comes to the engine sounds. At idle they are pretty good but during takeoff, not so much. And the PACK sounds are way too loud. While they are a little loud in the real thing, but not this loud. Actually I wonder how many people know this but the majority of airflow sounds come from the Recirculation fans not from the PACKS in the real thing.

Well, with your background, why not reach out to him and give him your thoughts. I’m sure he’d be open to constructive comments.

I flew the 737 as cabin crew for ten years. I accept the critique that I was not sitting in the F/D however believe me, the noises played a huge part in my / our time management routine. I am working on Airbus family aircraft (A320-1, A330) now and I can tell you that the 737 was talking compared to the Airbuses - meaning just by the individual noises, hissing seals by the doors, engine noises, and even the change of configuration that makes noise when the slats and flaps deploy in the airflow. I am just simply pointing out differences which in my opinion aren’t right and not telling anyone what to get or not get. I get it that many people can be keyboard warriors and that it’s difficult to differentiate those online but I was just sharing my real world experience - excuse me for that…

I don’t doubt the sounds so much in the flight deck. Maybe the Packs sound a bit too high. I find the engine roar sound a lot more like a IAE engine from an airbus when on a high setting rather than the CFM 56-7.

Funny you say that, I thought they were a bit quite at the gate. I usually have to turn the left pack off to hear the ground crew or my FO, especially during briefings before we push.

I mean it in this video they sound a bit loud. But look it might be just the way it comes through.

Balint, I hope you didn’t think I was being sarcastic (that’s not me😊) I was trying to be helpful in my suggestion. 😉 I’m sure anyone like yourself would be valuable to a developer.
