  • Boris’s sounds are on another level. If you close your eyes, you will literally hear no difference between the real thing and his sound package.

Okay then let me ask you something. Did you sit in the 737 for 7384 hours over a period of 10 years? Facing the engine on approximately 4 sectors a day? Over 5 days a week? No doubts that the pilots t

I am happy enough with the PMDG sounds, and apparently it will be getting an audio update at some point.

Actually, I found the new sounds in the -900ER not as good as I had hoped. I find them much better in the iFly that Boris also did. The turning sound on the ground sounds off to me and the engines at cruise sound odd as well. Again, I know sounds are subjective.

RSR mentioned all new sounds for the 737 whenever they release it for MS2024 so I’ll give it a go again then. Until then, I’ve again uninstalled the 737 from MS2020.

With sounds it is always difficult to say which are better. Usually some are better in one scenario and others are better in different scenario. It is not just about exterior/interor but also exterior from front/back/side and interior it depends if you are in the cockpit, in the front of the engines in the cabin, over wing, behind wing, at the end of the cabin etc. Also sounds are different if you have headphones as pilot. Some things you cant hear with headphones ON or with engines/recirculation fans running. But to make all these things it would make the sound packs more expensive. In ideal world we should have sounds in the cockpit with headphones ON/OFF options and in the cabin. The interior engine sound sounds differently for pilot, for pilot with headphones and for pax in front of the engines, over wing and behind engines...that is difficult to script. We are in flight simulator so my opinion the interior sound should sound as pilots hear them from cockpit with heapdhones off/on (that would need some cabin switch connected to this action). Many players claim sounds are not realistic and they never were in the 737 cockpit and their sound experience is only from the cabin...
