Curious to see how that goes....😉 Well I bought the sound pack this morning, and now the trim wheel sounds are barely audible. (nuts)

To each their own. Been flying since 1985 and I can tell you first hand all these item do is add flickers and stutters into the mix! One of the reasons I like to keep it bare bones. Main reason I'm forced in using multiple computers... XP12 would be a stuttering mess without networking, completely unflyable! Yet MS2020, I can run 7 monitors on one computer, go figure. If xp wasn't such a recourse hog I'd have every addon that improved the overall experience. As you have see by your own observations, when it comes to my flight sim experience money is no problem. I'd actually have a folder with all the useless controllers and apps once the install was finished... But it's the stutters and flickers that eventually stroll into the mix that is associated with these types of addons and that's unacceptable. Nothing good comes from loading up a computer with stuff that's needed but once unless update or reinstall. I completely understand your point but Orbx is just a storefront, you buy the sound package it installs it in your community folder and that's it. You can quit out of Orbx completely
January 24, 20251 yr Just taken this for a quick test flight. Some lovely taxiing and ground roll sounds. But I do find the ambient sound quite noisy in the cockpit during cruise. I'm guessing wind noise. I'd be interested in hearing others' thoughts on this. Also on touchdown, as I had previously questioned, there's virtually no sound from the main gear touching down and quite a lot of noise from the nose wheel touching down. Just initial thoughts, and as I say, I'd be interested to hear others' observations. January 24, 20251 yr I think the sounds are great. However, I have run into a problem and I am not sure if it is caused by the new sound pack or today's update from PMDG. I set pause at top of descent which works fine except when I resume after the pause all engine and wind sounds are gone in the cockpit. Changing views used to fix this but no more. Anyone else encounter this or have a solution? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I am getting gunshy about updating since 2024 came out. After running the PMDG update, I don't see the spinning circle for 10 seconds anymore on the EFB. Edited January 24, 20251 yr by Bobsk8
