December 9, 200421 yr HiI have just landed at Athens airport and I have noticed (Shift W) that FS2004 was monitoring 35 yes 35!!! aircraft some parked ,some flying, some approaching and others taking off. Amazing !!! how this program monitors all these planes.Stelios Stelios Christofides
December 9, 200421 yr Yes Ive always Thought this to. Despite some of FS's Small problems its an amazing program.. one that both us and Mircosoft should be proud off.Jason
December 9, 200421 yr well impressed here to, but how do you find out how many AI planes there, are pressing shift+W does nothing for me? the only way to find out is to count them, but i loose count when i get into 3 figures. this is just a small part of heathrow and there are over 20 planes in this one part:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/100094.jpg
December 9, 200421 yr indeed you count them :)In the case of a very busy airport you might have more luck counting the empty gates and subtracting that figure from what you know to be the total number of gates there is.
December 9, 200421 yr Sorry Bruce it's Ctrl W not Shift(my mistake). Hold down Ctrl and then press W and you will see all the AI planes. To close the small window press " ] ". Count them and see. I have my Air traffic density at 80%.Stelios Stelios Christofides
December 9, 200421 yr if you press "ctrl-w" when the main window is in spot view then the main view changes to an AI plane - meaning that you dont need to mess around with small windows,ta,James
December 10, 200421 yr >Yes James you are right. Amazing isn't it?>>Steliosits very nice :)i just wish that ATC and the airports in general could handle large volumes of traffic better. for exmple, if an AI plane needs to cross the active runway at Heathrow? forget about it, aint going to happen :(
