December 9, 200421 yr hi,i tried a couple of days ago, i'll see if anyone has any ideas.i have an unusual problem with ohare. i'm sure the cause is me messing about with afcad or scenery. i cant remember everything i've done, but the jist is that i'd like to find a way to restore kord to its default state, so i can start over. however even when i get rid of everything i've added, i end up with weird textureless, innacurate tarmac plastered over the airport. - see attached imageany ideas?
December 9, 200421 yr Assuming you were playing around with afcad, and left everything default, your afcad2 file should be located under the main fs9 directory at:addon scenerysceneryThe file is most likely called af2_kord.bgl. If you find that file, simply move it out of that directory (or delete it). ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
December 9, 200421 yr i've tried that,i have a feeling something i did must have changed the default scenery. do you know how i can reinstall that?
December 9, 200421 yr It looks like somone (in AFCAD) drew apron all over your taxiways. That or you got some messed up scenery.http://darkstarorder.com/sigs/Batman/SigFinal.jpgKen Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs
December 9, 200421 yr Afcad does not edit the default scenery, it adds things on top of it (like you are seeing). Just remove your custom afcad file like I mentioned above, and your airport should go back to normal (unless you did some other things like excludes) ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
December 9, 200421 yr Do a search for KORD in your add-on scenery folder. Check what results you get. And if you have AFCAD downloaded, search for KORD... then look for the buggy afcad.http://darkstarorder.com/sigs/Batman/SigFinal.jpgKen Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs
December 9, 200421 yr thanks guys, the problem was that i had a redundant afcad in the folder that was not called kord not sure which it was yet, but that was the problem. thanks for insisting the addon scenery was the problem, i'd long given up on it, given that i'd deleted the kord file.
