December 11, 200421 yr I had been using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro with FS9 and had been quite happy with it until it started losing calibration constantly. At first I would be unable to use the right rudder. Eventually I couldn't use the ailerons to turn right either. Unplugging it and plugging it back into the USB port would help for a few minutes but then it would fizzle out again. Then it got so, when I was flying, it would suddenly pitch hard right and got so I could barely fly at all. A lot of people complained about the same thing on their website but apparently they had no desire to fix it. They did replace some people's sticks but the replacements would do the same thing in a matter of time.Anyway, to make a long story longer, I purchased a Saitek Cyborg Evo Force. It's really great so far, all kinds of adjustments and it has a nice feel in FS9. The force feedback in FS9 is nothing to write home about. I get a vibration when taxiing and a "clunk" when the gear moves up or down, but that's about it.The blue LEDs on the Saitek stick look cool too! :)Jim
December 11, 200421 yr Jim: I certainly agree with you on the Saitek Cyborg EVO. I have the non-FF model (purchased a couple of months ago for $39.00 US); definitely the best piece of hardware I've purchased for that price!I searched out some performance reviews before purchase and for a flightsim, the Saitek edged out the Logitech. Not sure, but I think it was tomshardware.com that had the most comprehensive one-on-one evaluation of these two products.Anyone considering a purchase of a new stick should have a look at this one.-GeorgeM at 5B6Buzz word for today: "Wings of Power" - a nice addition of WWII aircraft for FS9 for about $30.00!!!
December 11, 200421 yr Author LOL exatctly the same thing happened for me.Bought the Extreme 3D Pro - used it for a couple of months then just like yours, mine starting loosing the calibration, drifting to the left or right, loss of precision near the center position and so on. Apparently this problem is *very* common with this stick. I would not recommend Logitech sticks to anyone.I bought the Saitek Evo non-Force and I'm also very happy with it. I use it together with my CH Pedals more than I use the CH Yoke these days, though that is mostly due to lack of desktop space since I live in a 13 sq. m dorm room with a tiny desk :) -
