Help with saitek drivers

Hey guys, so I got the X52 today and other than being physically awesome.. very comfortable to use and all..

I can't install the drivers.. like at all. Once i run any installer, be it from the CD or the Saitek website, the thing will fail as soon as DirectOutput gets installed, what follows is nightmare fuel, as the mouse ceases to function and the entire computer fraks itself up so much that recovery is only possible with a system restore...

Anyone able to help me out? ;-;

This didn't happen when i installed the yoke's drivers tho..
