couple of light issues

Hi all

I know I've read this somwere but think I'm using the wrong wording in the search.

I've been playing around with the lighting for the runways using the dx10 fixer and adjusting the fsx.cfg and have got to a point I'm happy with but around dusk/night  I'm getting tiny fuzzy white sparkles on the water surface,I know I've read somewere  on the forum how to fix this but just can't find it

does anyone have any ideas on the fix or where I might find the article?

also is there a way to turn the glow/brightness of the sun down a bit similar to airport lights?
