December 12, 200421 yr The Mohawk river in upstate NY abruptly ends heading west at Fulton Co airport (NY0) on my install. Can somebody please check their install to see if the river continues past Fulton Co?I think one of my add-on screwed up the river(or it was wrong in the first place by MS)addons:USA RoadsFSGenesis MeshFS WaterThanks.
December 12, 200421 yr Yep, that's the way it is. It ends before Amsterdam, then picks up again west of Amsterdam and ends again at Fonda. Very poorly done.I can't say much, but keep your eyes on the library. I think that fairly soon you'll see something to make you very happy.Jim
December 12, 200421 yr Author Thanks for the replys guys.Jim, thanks for the heads up on the library! I'll keep my eyes open.I was trying to fly a VFR route with the Mohawk as one of my landmarks, then boom! it's gone! At least it's not my system...Thanks,
December 31, 200421 yr Craig, In case you missed it, download Peter Ricciardiello's file "nylakes101.zip" from the library. Among all the fixes to lakes and coastlines, it also accurately places the Mohawk River from the Hudson west to Herkimer, NY. It still ends prematurely, but it's a vast improvement over the default.Jim
January 7, 200521 yr Peter has now uploaded nylakes12.zip to the Avsim library. It extends the Mohawk River all the way to it's sources, Oneida Lake and Hinkley Reservoir. This newest version adds/updates/fixes quite a few other bodies of water in the New York State area. It's a must-have especially for VFR flyers.Jim
January 9, 200521 yr Not unique to that river at all either. The New River from North Carolina through Virginia and West Virginia does the same thing in several places.
