I typically switch off the passenger boarding sounds from GSX and use those from FS Captain instead, and use GSX pushback rather than FS Captain's. I have set up FS Captain so that it will assign me to a particular gate at my destination, and then select the GSX follow-me car to lead me to it.

FS Captain's first officer won't talk you through checklists, but he will set the passenger signs and alert you to set the altimeter when crossing transition altitude, for example (and the transition altitudes are realistic, as far as I have seen). Again, this can be toggled on/off if needed.

FS Captain will also generate a despatch sheet (available though the standard FSX kneeboard) with detailed navlog, metar and loadout report. I mostly use default FSX and freeware aircraft, and the estimated fuel burn and arrival times are quite accurate.

My apologies if this sounds like a sales talk, but I would rank FS Captain as my top essential addon, together with A2A AccuFeel.

Thank you for your most kind words!!

We are actively looking to improve our interaction with GSX.  In regards to pushback, once any external source starts to push the aircraft, FSCaptain starts the ETE clock.  In the case of GSX, it can be a long (3-5 minute) process and I'd like to be able to save those valuable minutes for Captains out there.

We recently found an XML variable that lets us know that GSX is doing the pushback... but we need to know beforehand that GSX is preparing to push us, and to know when all of the men and trucks are clear.  Once we have those in place, you won't lose those few minutes on your flights.

The latest version of FSCaptain has the ability to de-ice the plane...but...no graphical view, AES does the graphics, so order the de-icing through FSCaptain and then again through AES, same with boarding.

We've asked about integrating with external agents to manage such from our ACARS for many years, but have not received any positive response in that direction so far.

I would encourage you to download and try the demo.

It's also worth mentioning the support is on a par with Bryan and FS2Crew i.e. excellent.

Thank you for your very kind and humbling words!!

(Btw, I will be digging into your ATOE issue today.  I had a one-time-only surprise sprung on me yesterday... in 3D -- "which admittedly is not as good as 12D." )

I enjoy running the business side of airlines as much as flying and FS Passengers X delivers that experience while FS Captain gives you a really good Captain/Dispatcher experience.

Once we have FSCaptain at a slightly higher level of "coolness" we will implement plans for a separate-but-fully-integrated "Airline Operations" application.  You would be able to work in Operations / Finance mode alone, or to use it to generate schedules and flights for you or others via FSCaptain.

+1 Air Hauler, I'm currently into my 10th month of daily flying and have achieved a 85% Reputation. During this time I've built my fleet into leased/owned, turboprop twins, airliners and the single engine props for the short legs given to new pilots. I have 7 pilots working for me, 42 bases and my daily earnings gross >$1m. I've had my setback with heavy landing or non delivery of cargo on time and have paid the penalty of losing 1 reputation point.

It took me a year last game to get to my 100%. The game is  good because decision making and strategy as well as hands on flying a variety of aircraft all go to achieve your goal.

The soon to be released AirHauler 2 is reported to offer more challenges.
