Hi,

I have started using Opus for weather instead of REX. I prefer Opus for this due to its speed, accuracy and being able to easily get reports.  I still use REX for textures but I am a little confused regarding which textures to load? Should I let REX download its own weather and then import textures based on this into FSX?

No. Just install the set of natural looking textures you like then don't bother running REX unless you want to install a different texture set. After you have selected and installed your textures just let the Opus LWE do the rest. I always use the Soft and Natural FEX textures, no need to change them really. Also don't install the ultra HD textures, they achieve nothing other than draining valuable processing time within FSX.

Thanks for that, that sounds a better option anyway as waiting for REX to do its thing each time takes an age.
