November 26, 201312 yr Hi guys I have the saitek simple mcp (SAITEK MULTI PANEL) and i need to use it with my PMDG MD11. I don't know if it operate well automatically (when i plug it) or there is a some configurations need to follow to make that possible. Please guys i don't have any another hardware (that can use it as a mcp with my PMDG MD11 home cockpit except my simple saitek mcp). Any ideas ? Thx. !!!!!!!!!!!!
November 26, 201312 yr It won't work properly. I have the MCP and tried it with the MD-11. All you can really do is select spd, alt, hdg, crs and v/s and adjust them with the knob. The numbers displayed on the MCP will not correspond to the actual numbers in the VC. You have to push or pull the knob on the MD-11 and this is something that the MCP can't do. The Saitek was made for default and "lite" airplanes like CLS/Just Flight. Nature Boy

In my opinion, if i can change the ALT HDG SPD V/S...etc by the knob, and activate them by their buttons (autopilot buttons HDG ALT SPD NAV etc)...... What i still need !!!!! But sure if u need to change the degree of the heading turning, select the autopilot values from the FMC by pull or push the knob inside the VC (like u say, inside pmdg md11 the mcp knobs can push & pull them), then the saitek will never ever help u.
