A/T and engine shutdown issues

Sometimes my A/T on 737-700, the switch won't lock and stay engaged or I engage it and then it disengages on its' own.  Any help?  Also when I shut down the engines, the first engine will shut down (whether its #1or#2), but the second engine will not shut down?  Any help?
