Single 3D or 3x1680x1050 monitor setup ?

Recommended Posts

I am running a GB 660Ti OC with 2GB GDDR5 on a Haswell 4770k at 4.5GHz.

Currently getting very good performance in P3DV2.

Thinking of either getting a good 3D monitor or possibly going for a triple-monitor setup...

Intersted in what kind of FPS loss I may be looking at in both cases ?

I am leaning towards a 3D monitor as I think I may get dizzy using a 3-monitor setup.

Ideas/suggestions welcome..

Thanks folks.

Your gonna need more than 2GB in P3Dv2 to have decent performance.

Remember 3DVision is really 720/1080 resolutions doubled for steroscopic 3D.

So its just as taxing as having multiple displays

I got by with 2GB in FSX using a 27inch Asus 120GHZ 3d LED in 1080p getting 20-30FPS, but remember FSX also didnt load my GPU like P3Dv2 does currently.

Your gonna have to sacrafice alot of P3Dv2 settings and features to get decent performance

like shadows,AA probably cloud and tessellation settings also.

Lets see how well Nvidia and LM optimize 3DVision support for us 3D guys.

Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10
MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled)
8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled)
32GB DDR4 3000 Ram
500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2
