One GTX 780Ti with Triple Head to Go or 2x GTX 770 4GB for multi monitor

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Big decision time for me. Entire new Haswell system is bought, all but the graphic cards. Quandary for me is fact that I will be running 5 monitors (all same 24"). 3 outside view 2 for panel.

The dilemma is whether to go with 2 x 4GB cards, or just 1 of the new GTX 780Ti along with the Triple Head system to support this. Specific card I am considering is the EVGA 03G-P4-2883-KR GeForce GTX 780 Ti.

Anyone with any thoughts on this? Have not yet decided on P3Dv2 or FSX. Been over reading Word Not Allowed's reviews, not quite sure about P3Dv2 yet.....

Thanks everyone.....

Currently I am running 2x GTX680 2 Gb in SLI for my home cockpit.

By only using the 2d cockpit without instruments and or spotplane view you can have real SLI with fps of + 40-90% over a single GTX680.

If you intend to use P3D v2 this is not good enough regarding vram.

The memory data is mirrored in SLI so you only have 2 Gb...

But 2x GTX770 4 Gb would be more than enough for home cockpit builders.

Also you can use NvSurround instead og the TH2Go : no black borders after bezel correction and the same performance.

I switched from my TH2Go to NvSurround last month.

If you expect some spare cash in the near future I would go for the 780 Ti and buy a second one later...

But it's you budget en you decision...
