Blue (water) area under snow in FSX

Featured Replies

Every year in the winter for the past year or so, I am noticing patches of "blue" under snow in various area (And sometimes you can see waves in the blue area, implying that FSX is treating it like a water area and there is no lake nearby) .

It seems to appear randomly and often near an airport away from the area blocked off for the runways and terminals. And if you were to overshoot a runway or somehow venture onto these areas, your aircraft is thrust up in the air as if you were on water in a non sea plane. This is happening on FSX default scenery areas.

I think that a year or so, I discovered a fix for this, but can't seem to locate it now.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to resolve?

Thanks!

Sorry.. I forgot to put my name at the end of above posting...
