December 24, 201312 yr I'm not sure if this is even in the right spot, but I have 3-d capability with my pc my question is will either FS9 or FSX operate under 3-d I have a NIVIDIA 240X GRAPHICS card I just want to know before I spend the$$$$ on 3-D GLASSES!!!
December 26, 201312 yr Your video card is at the bare minimums for FSX. FSX does have the ability to display in 3D but, since you will be using the NVidia display drivers to convert FSX to 3D, you need to check on the NVidia website for specifications. Specifically, can you turn on 3D in your display driver settings. If so, then I would buy the cheapest 3D glasses out there as they work just as well as the $700 plus setup (i.e., upgraded video card, the NVidia 3D Glasses kit, the 120MHz monitor, etc.). Night lighting is not good and the VFR lighting will have you slamming into the side of a mountain if you are not careful. Otherwise it looks great (not spectacular) even with the paper 3D glasses.
