V-sync problem with new GTX770

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just upgraded to a GTX770 4GB card. I deleted my FSX.cfg and started fresh. I'm having a problem with screen tearing even though I have V-sync enabled. I've used different setting in Nvidia Inspector and I added the lines to the FSX.cfg to force V-sync in full screen mode. I'm running unlimited FPS in FSX with a limit of 40 in NI. Any help would be appreciated. FWIW, I never had this problem with my previous card. GTX480.

After doing some more research, it appears that this is just an issue in FSX. I fired up FS9 and there is no tearing.

After further research, it looks like the problem is related to using the external frame rate limiter in Nvidia Inspector. As long as I turn it off in NI and use the FSX internal limiter, no tearing. Maybe this will help someone else who might run into this.
