Wilco 737 PIC and Windows 8?

I tried searching but couldn't find a similar question in the forum. Has anyone been able to get the Wilco 737 for FS2004 to work in a Windows 8 environment? I tried reinstalling and also running FS2004 in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. I understand it isn't officially supported but was hoping someone found a fix. When I try it, it immediately CTD. I'm slowly trying out FSX, but so far prefer FS2004. Maybe I'll have to do without this aircraft and the Level D in windows 8.
