Lennart (again)

I'm not confused about where to put the various files in Lennart's new textures.....at least I THINK I'm not. I do believe they are all in the correct places.I just need to know what portions of North America they cover. He mentioned that they cover North Europe and "parts of NOrth America" (Did he say "United States"? Don't remember).Anyway, I've looked around pretty well and I can't seem to actually see any differences anywhere with the textures, or without them. Am I missing something? If anyone has seen differences in the U. S. would you please be so kind as tell me where? Thanks, and Happy New Year.Dewey

Dewey,Do you have the FSGenesis US landclass installed? It would be a lot easier to suggest specific geographical spots to check if I knew we were both looking at the same thing, so to speak. But in any case, Lennart's textures tend to "Europeanize" the landscape, which is good for northern Europe but maybe not so good for North America. Towns and villages, in particular, are bestowed with red and pink roofs and streets and lanes have more of a winding appearance rather than being squared off.Lennart included a file, Terrain textures for FS2004 pdf, which actually shows you side-by-side comparisons for most of his textures. Check 038b2su in particular. One foolproof way to simply verify that Lennart's textures have installed would be to fly over any of the default tiny streams. Default textures make these waterways an unvarying dark blue; Lennart's texture oscillates between blue and milky as the streams wind and bend.Hope this helps.John
