FSX cloud texture issue?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I've experienced this issue for a while now, and now it's become a real problem.  :(  If I set my weather to anything else apart from 'fair weather', I get multi-colored stripes in the sky while I'm flying (see attachment). I'm not sure if it's a texture issue or not.

I would really prefer not to reinstall, but if anyone would know how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX Eight Cores Black Edition FX- 8320 3.5GHz

Ram: 4GB DDR3-1333 Ram

Harddrive: 1Tb 7200RPM

Graphics card: Gigabyte GT640

Thanks

Is this the default or an addon weather program?

Hi there,

I've had this problem before I installed REX4 (shown here). So it's been around since I've installed FSX 2 months ago.
Thanks

I did some searching around the Internet and make sure your video card display driver resolution setting is set to 32 bit and not 16 bit.

If you have any type of shader program (like the Shader mod or SweetFX or ENBSeries) then I would suspect that as the problem.  Hopefully you can find a fix.  Pretty ugly stuff...

Thanks for your help. Repaired FSX from disc 1, problem solved. Missing textures might of been the problem. Thanks again!
