January 3, 200521 yr Hello,I have been running without FSAUTOSTART for two years. It looked like a great idea so I installed the latest version and set up the Services/Programs per the instructions. All went fine at startup and even at shutdown. The system seemed much faster without the added overhead (Dell 8200 with 512 RAM and a big HD)HOWEVER - while running FS2004 /Activesky - I got my FIRST VIRTUAL MEMORY SHORTAGE Alert in two years. The system keep running but I got a little concerned. I guess I should spring for another 512????Any ideas here about whether FSautostart had that affect??Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNear KCHS
January 3, 200521 yr Are you sure that you don't have one of the memory leaks in MSFS like a bad landclass file or something?
January 3, 200521 yr Hi KenI know you have another forum for fsautostart, but since your here...I can't seem to get mine to work. I've installed v 1.1 build 11. but I keep getting a error message when I press start (error launching batch control). I did read somewhere that you have a fix for this. The other thing is when I press start everything goes through the motions and then my computer reboots and no flight sim? It shows the right path at the top of the programs. Not sure what I'm doing wrong?ThanksHuggsKittiex:)~ This system is: AMD 64 3500+ 939 ASUS A8V Deluxe with wifi GCorsair TwinX1024 3200 XL Pro 2 36gig W.D. January 4, 200521 yr The fix for the Start problem is on the forum:http://www.kensalter.com/forumAs to the reboot, you might be shutting down some program or service that is causing this...might check the event log. Please post any FSAutoStart questions in my forum...I'm trying to build a knowledge base. :-)Thanks,
