Rain and snow but no clouds

Featured Replies

I'm using Rex for textures and OPUS is loading the weather just fine but no matter where I go I'm getting blue skies even in rain and snow.  Using the latest OPUS upgrade and I have "user defined weather" selected in FSX.

I assume you have checked the OpusFSX Weather reports and cloud is reported. As you know you can also see cloud cover on the OpusFSX Weather Maps.

It is impossible to have rain without clouds in OpusFSX, it will even create a pseudo cloud layer if one doesn't exist. Do you have anything else injecting the weather? Set your FSX Current Weather to any weather theme, just don't enable the real world weather options. Check that no other weather engines are running. If flying online don't inject weather from FSInn etc.

If you have ASN installed and wish to use the OpusFSX Live Weather Engine then please remember to remove and disable the ASN EXE and DLL files. This will also require removing the ASN entries within the simulator's EXE.xml and DLL.xml files. The ASN DLL in particular is an invasive and proactive library. The early versions will actively prevent other weather engines from functioning correctly and being able to control all aspects of the weather.
