January 9, 200521 yr HiCan anyone help with a problem I have with these two panels. The problem is if I load an aircraft using either of these two panelswith the engine off then the PFD and ND gauges do not display corectly even when the power is turned on and the engines started, see pics. If it is loaded with the engines running then all is OK. It is only these two panels that have this problem all other freeware and payware panels are OK. I have tried using a master avionics switch as someone once suggested but it makes no difference.Anyone any ideas?ThanksPhilhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103151.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103152.jpg Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti
January 9, 200521 yr Hello, Phil-On the Lonny Payne panel, after turning the avionics switch to "ON" you must also turn the "INS MODE SEL" switches to the "NAV" position by clicking on them. They are between the Avionics switch and Yaw Damper switches.I am unfamiliar with the other panel, but there may be an additional switch that needs to be configured besides the avionics switch.Hope this helps.
January 10, 200521 yr I would hazard the guess that especially on the 757 panel, the APU hasnt been turned on, only the battery. Could be the same issue on the (awesome i might add) a300 panel :)
January 10, 200521 yr On the Lonny Payne panel, starting the APU isn't a prerequisite for getting those gauges to come alive.;)
January 10, 200521 yr I have found that sometimes if I have been flying a default plane and shut everthing off including the avionics switch, then load up an add-on I will get odd behavior like that. In that situation I have to load up a default and click on the avionics, then load the add-on. This does not happen ever time, only if the last state is the avionics switch off.
January 10, 200521 yr >The second pic is Lonny P.'s panel.Hi,Well,..you know,...I can see the difference between a A300/310 panel and a B757/767 panel. :-lol But the second picture is not Lonny Staffan
January 10, 200521 yr It has been a long time since I've used the Lonny Payne panel but isn't that the indication before the RIS has been turned on and warmed up, or spun up, or spooled up, or gyroed up, or what ever it does. As you can tell I have no idea what takes the RIS so long to initialize but it does take several seconds before those instruments function properly.I prove my ignorace (as if more proof were necessary), what does IRS stand for?R-
January 10, 200521 yr Alex, Thanks for your reply it is the INS switches that I've not switched to NAV. When I do this after several seconds I get the full ND/PFD display. I am pleased to say that it also works on the A300 panel as well.Incidentally it is Lonny's 757 panel but I must admit that I have amended the main panel bitmap, but that's all I have done. Thanks everyonePhil Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti
