Can FSLTL be installed to work in MSFS 2020 & 2024 on the same PC.

I've just had surgery to remove my cataracts and I'd rather not not have Asobo putting them back for me as my sight has been improved amazingly. If a surgeon can turn it off why can't Asobo?

When I first got MSFS 2020 my internet download speed only 28 mbps, the maximum possible in my area and the initial install took over 6 hours to complete. I installed the scenery for all the USA and Europe as well as quite a number of third party airports in Europe. Once installed MSFS 2020 ran without any issues using all the PMDG aircraft as well as the Fenix Airbuses and the iFly 737 Max. Since then I have been able to get better internet access, now up to 360 Mbps and to be quite honest the only real time I notice the improvement is if I have to re-install or download the updates. However I wouldn't like to go back to 28 Mbps.

Please tell us which sim you are using 2020 or 2024

I've used SCAN Computers for both a fully built PC and upgrade packages and could never fault them for excellent workmanship and customer service.

Follow the link posted above and try the 'Verify and Repair' option before doing an uninstall. I had an issue with the sim recently and the repair option only took a few minutes to complete. I lost nothing from the sim and it's been ok since.

Yes I had wondered about the name and password but if I click the forum button on the home page and them 'Register' to try a new name and password I still get the 'Error' page. I am going to visit my son tomorrow so I'll try there on his computer as well as my notebook and see what happens. That will take my router etc. out of the equation. Thanks

Thanks for checking for me. Still no luck. When I click on the forum button on their home page I get the forum log in screen with an error and can go no further. This happens on all three household computers and my smartphone. Just hope someone from FSDreamteam sees this post and offers some help. Phil

Just asking if anyone else Is having any problems logging in to the FSDreamteam forum. Each time I try the response I get is 'There was an error' and cannot get any further. Phil

Just a thought but in Norton make sure you exclude both virus scanning and Sonar protection for all EZCA folders. I've done that and EZCA works OK with Norton.

Hi all I have been using P3D v3.0 since it was released and not had any issues with OOM's, not even one. However last week I got my first OOM and again yesterday on the same flight plan but with a different aircraft, AS A320 then then PMDG 777. I have used these aircraft many times without any OOM problems. The only additions I have installed are the payware Inverness airport which I have used without problems any the ES Citation X v2 which I am still learning. The only other changes I have made are to use FSUIPC for my joystick/throttle axis calibration and assignments and also for button assignments hence my question. I can't think why FSUIPC would affect VAS but I thought I would ask before I do anything stupid I may regret. Cheers Phil PS. Is P3D v 3.1 or v 3.2 any better for OOM's?

I have re-assigned the spacebar mouse look option to one of the buttons on my Logitech G700s mouse. Other buttons on the mouse are assigned to various camera views in the cockpit so I have almost full control on the mouse. I have been using the standard camera views for years like this however I have recently purchased OpusFSI for camera views with the vibration effect but I still use the mouse in the same way for changing cameras.

I just copy the GUID from the new file and overwrite it in the old file then use the old file. This has always worked for me on previous updates. Hope it still works for P3D v3, I don't have it yet but I will soon. Phil

The point I was tying to raise, not vey successfully is that I have the Retail version of W7 i.e. I own the licence so I can transfer the OS to any upgrade or new machine as you said. However if I take up the free upgrade to Windows 10 sometime in the next 12 months then my PC details are logged with Microsoft and I can install/reinstall Windows 10 on my current PC as often as I like. But if I upgrade say in 18 months with a new Motherboard and processor (i.e. after the free upgrade offer to W10 has finished) then I have the choice of either reinstalling my Retail copy of Windows 7 and going back to the earlier OS or to continue to use Windows 10 then I will need to purchase either an upgrade or full version of Windows 10. I would very much like to be proven wrong. Regards Phil

Does this mean that if I upgrade the copy of W7 I have now to W10 it is effectively turned into an OEM version and if I build a new PC or significantly upgrade my existing PC I have to buy another copy of windows instead of transferring the full retail copy I have now?

I always had OOM errors when using both these sceneries and the PMDG 737NGX however since switching to DX10 I don't have the problem any more.

I seem to recall having similar issues a long time ago so I always start in Windowed mode, load the aircraft I want to fly and then switch to Full Screen mode. Don't have this problem any more. Now it just seems the natural way to do it.

Did the SDK create a Restore point on your computer. If so try Restoring to that point.

I have been experimenting with DX10 trying to get rid of OOM with PMDG 737 & 777 using the freeware 'Fixer' in the AVSIM library. So far all is good having just done a flight from LDZA to LFPO (AS Orly + ASN Overcast skies etc) with the PMDG 737 and finished without any OOM pings at all which I could not do in DX9. The only issue I had was that during the climb and descent I noticed that some of the Orbx FTXG Autogen buildings appeared as black boxes. Is this problem fixed in the latest DX10 Scenery Fixer program? Regards Phil

Make sure your control axis are disabled in SLEW mode, that was my problem, I kept forgetting that they were still enabled in slew mode.
