  1. thanks both for this...seems dx10 is the way to go with this bird then... @petepawn: how did you go about installing the dx10 and modificiation to nvidia...was the process straight forward...since my last pc upgrade of about 4 years ago i have a good number of addon sceneries and am a bit skeptic if things start going awry...any advise on your process of installing dx10 fixer and settings in nvidia please.
  2. Hi...getting interested in buying this product...I run FSX on DX9 with a very stable system...anyone using the a320 with DX9 instead of DX10 and what will be the possible issued if I maintain DX9. Tks.
  3. many thanks to all...just to know...is anyone using fslabs a320 with dx9...if so how does it work...any flaws in particular.
  4. Hi...just want to take an opportunity from this thread and apologies on this.... I am planning to go with dx10 on my rig that is now about 4 years old...i have a query on the nvidia inspector...I already have nvidia inspector installed but looking at the various youtube tutorials, it is suggested to install the latest inspector with profile for MS Flightsimulator 10...now how do I go about this...do I uninstall my current nvidia inspector and install the new one or it will not make any difference if I install another nvidia inspector...this is puzzling me a bit. Also...any tutorials on how to set up dx10 correctly. Tks.
  5. Hi, thanks for the reply...can you confirm that there are full installation instructions within the download file when I purchase the software please. Will wait re query 2 maybe someone replies but in the meantime in view of your answer does this mean that I can delete or rename the current nvidia and then use the latest one once installed. tks.
  6. Hi, I am planning to get FSLabs A320 and came across that it is best to run with DX10. I have FSX with Acceleration. I have a very stable system and was wondering on the following queries before I proceed with any changes: 1. First I install the DX10 scenery fixer...does this in any way affect my addon sceneries that I purchased and installed throughout the past 4 years. 2. I already have nvidia inspector installed about four years ago upon the upgrade of the PC....I note that I have to install the latest inspector with a new profile of microsoft FS10...in view of this what is the correct procedure...remove the current nvidia inspector and then install the new one or can i just install the latest inspector and proceed from there. Thanks for any input. Thanks,
  7. Try going to control panel - network - internet- homegroup and at the bottom you should find something on view or print homegroup password.... hope this can help.
  8. Hi, I purchased REX soft clouds to compliment my REX ess+odrive and in my queries prior to buying it I understood that soft clouds will choose on its own the best texture set based on the real weather at the location of FSX. Now I start REX ess+odrive and import the fplan. I am then opening soft clouds but I do not see any where to click so that REX chooses the best soft clouds for the weather...what am I missing...I see all sets of clouds and I can choose which one to install but this is not what I thought the program will do. Can someone please advise...what i want is that REX chooses on its own the best textures from soft clouds to inject in fsx like ess+odrive does. Thanks. Emann
  9. Hi, I am reading various threads in getting max performance from your pc and note alacrity pc mentioned a lot in these forums... I have a win7 64 bit system and my first question is to know if alacritypc works ok with this operating system as the one i find on google points to a vista version...any link for a download for this please....also i have no clue how to proceed... Anyone can assist with any ready working profiles to run fsx or else point me in a direction with simple instructions from where to start...i have no clue how to choose which programs to close or that must be kept running. any assistance appreciated even if you use some other software that you can tell me about. emann
  10. many thanks vc10man....i do not have the INS installed and mainly i was referring to navigation rather then actual vnav profiles....haven't had a look at the manual, may you kindly point me to where i can read this doppler style of navigation...mainly: importing of msfs FPlan you mean load a fplan in the simulator at start of flight? and, how do you switch on the window of the doppler screen please? I presume that this was a main method of navigation during the phase of technology or were most of the 707s equipped with the INS...is the CIVA a hassle to install as I am not the best when coming to tweaking here and there. Thanks for the headsup and your replies.
  11. Hi, I went ahead with the CS707 for FSX...just installed yesterday and seems to be a handful of a bird...was trying to look for some tutorials in pdf format...found some videos on youtube which are quite interesting....just two questions... 1. any idea if there is a decent pdf tutorial flight somewhere on the web 2. how do you navigate this bird - vor to vor or using the ins or couple to FScommander or some other form of fms. Thanks for any inputs. Emann
  12. Hi, thanks for the reply...But I did not touch anything in the xml file on the server where fsx is running...the change was an upgrade to win 10 on the laptop and reinstalling ASN...I kept a copy of the simconnect.cfg and placed in the documents folder, remounted the drives of the server, identified the folders in ASN and tried connecting... as soon as I open ASN i get the error. Are you using ASN on win10 in networked configuration by chance just to ensure that such a setup is possible. thanks, emann
  13. Hi, I was running Active Sky Next SP3 on network confirguration with Win7 on a laptop and FSX with Acceleration on a server PC. Everything works normally. This week I have upgraded to Win 10. I have reinstalled Active Sky Next and then SP3 and placed the original simconnect.cfg file in the documents folder. I have configured all the files and I can see all the files from ASN related to location of FSX on the server. Upon loading ASN I am getting an error as follows: Cannot load SimConnect Unable to load any managed SimConnect interface. Simulator Connectivity is not possible. Please check your simulator/SimConnect Installation Below is my simconnect.cfg file: [simConnect] Protocol=IPv4 Address=192.168.0.112 Port=6600 MaxReceiveSize=8192 DisableNagle=1 Any assistance appreciated.
  14. I have noted an update for the CS version to 1.3 and off I went for a download and and upgrade from 1.2...low and behold this bird is now in my hangar with no CTDs....so from where do I start...any pointers for youtube tutorials and other tutorials from other users...any particular tweaks that are necessary for this bird to make it more flyable and more realistic. regards, emann
  15. Hi...tks for the heads up....I am not sure on one thing when visiting this page...the product shown is L-1011 Tristar....I believe this was upgraded at a certain point to L-1011 Tristar Professional having also an FMS and more systems integration...any idea if the one on the pcaviator page is the same product as I am not sure of this. regards, emann
