Hi,

 

I purchased REX soft clouds to compliment my REX ess+odrive and in my queries prior to buying it I understood that soft clouds will choose on its own the best texture set based on the real weather at the location of FSX.

 

Now I start REX ess+odrive and import the fplan.  I am then opening soft clouds but I do not see any where to click so that REX chooses the best soft clouds for the weather...what am I missing...I see all sets of clouds and I can choose which one to install but this is not what I thought the program will do.

 

Can someone please advise...what i want is that REX chooses on its own the best textures from soft clouds to inject in fsx like ess+odrive does.

I think this feature is only available if you have the Texture Direct package installed. Its still not fully automatic but if you enter the ICAO code for your departure airport it will generale weather using the best set of textures. Do you have this package?

I don't believe there is a way to make REX Direct just choose soft clouds.It would be sweet if it did.

 

Edit: Oh you just have soft clouds. Rex Direct only choose clouds according to weather. But soft clouds and others.

Rex Texture Direct just seems random to me, does it really choose based on weather? I've seen texture selections that are weird. Dead winter and it chose for sky texture sets something like summer sunrise.

Once  you have installed  rex4  textures  or  rexe  textures  the  weather  engine  you use  defines  what   you  see  in the  sim
