  1. Hello All I operate Windows 7 professional, with all updates. My desktop is an Aero theme. My operating system is on drive C, my P3Dv3.0 on drive F, and I have a backup, drive B, for P3D. I recently installed FSX Gold on drive B into a folder labeled "FSX". The only other files on drive B are the two files resulting from a Shadow Protect backup of the entire F drive. P3Dv3 operates fine. FSX launches OK, but when I launch the default flight, a warning pops up that says I have launched a program that is incompatible with an aero theme; that Windows will temporarily change to the windows default, and revert to Aero when the program closes. FSX then hangs, and then closes, with the following event report: Problem Signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61637.0 Application Timestamp: 46fadb14 Fault Module Name: g2d.dll Fault Module Version: 10.0.61637.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 46fadb58 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0002c33d OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: LCID: 1033 The same crash happens if I change my desktop to the Windows default before launching the FSX default flight, except that no "incompatible with aero" message shows up. it's been a few years since I ran FSX (miss some of the old goodies) and ask if anyone has any suggestions on a fix, or if I need to gather more information about the crash. Thanks a bunch.
  2. Earlier today I installed FSX SDK from my deluxe edition FSX. Then I installed FSX SDK1a and FSX SDK2. Now my fsx will not load. It is stuck on the splash screen. I have tried registry editor, changing my logbook name, but nothing works. Any help?
  3. Hello, I got this 737-700 Load & Trimsheet when I made a flight on the jumpseat a couple of years ago. Now that I've finished groundschool (and so got the knowledge for mass & balance) I would like to try the Load & Trimsheet on the PMDG 737-700 NGX. But I still need some more information on the PMDG 737-700 NGX model: Basic Empty Mass? Weight of Catering (if applicable at model?) BEM index? By how much does the index move for a given weight for the catering and cabin crew? There are also four holds on the load & trimsheet. I assume hold 1 & 2 in the PMDG model is hold 1 & 4 on the load & trimsheet, just like in CAA's CAP 696 (http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP696.pdf)? Thanks a lot, PHXRE
  4. I did bring up this issue in a topic I posted earlier, and I hate to fill up the forums, but my previous question appears to have sunk out of notice and I now have just one last problem with the 737NGX, though I must admit it is keeping me from using it.Anyway, what's happening, as at least a few others have found, is that when a saved flight is loaded, the systems begin their 20-second initialization, during which the engines are shut off, causing the plane to fall 1000 feet or more. This isn't very conducive to a high-quality simulation--I don't have time to fly a whole flight at once, even a short one, so I depend upon the save flight option in FSX. I must say I am disappointed that having spent a good amount of money on this amazing simulation, all I can do is go through pre-flight procedures, take off, and climb a bit before I need to save it, after which I experience a very (of course) unrealistic temporary loss of power when it is reloaded. So my question is this: Does everybody else experience this, and is there any work-around?(Also, as a side note, if I purchased it today, does my installation include the latest service pack? If not, was this issue fixed in the latest one?)Thanks!
  5. Hello Guys, I installed the PSS 777 after a fresh install of Windows 7 and a fresh install also of Flight Simulator 9, When I entered Load Config in PSS Folder, I select the passengers, the cargo & the fuel and clicked save config, then I opened FS9 and chose the 777 and I found that the payload (Passengers & Cargo) are correct but The fuel always stick to 100% at all times, I tried to install a fresh copy of windows and fs9 and still the same problem ( it is also for pss 757 ),, If any one knows how to solve this problem please reply to the post. Thanks
  6. So, when loading one of the presaved tutorial flights i.e 'Before Takeoff' or 'Before Top of Decent', for the EHAM-LOWI tutorial, the FMC does not allow any editing. I can copy entries into the scratchpad, I can see all the different pages on the FMC, I just can't actually edit anything. Any ideas?
  7. Hi guys. I really need your help. FSX was performing well on my system until I installed that freeware Lockheed Constellation that is so popular, I 'll get the name for the next post. Lh, and a DC-4 from the same website. After I uninstalled these two add-ons, FSX was getting a CTD with the weather.dll file. Then, with the api.dll file. So, I repaired FSX and now I was getting an FS_Recorder.dll-related CTD. So, I uninstalled FS Recorder v2.18a. But then, FSX will load with nk errors, and I can set up and launch my flight. A few seconds after the flight is loaded, the simulator crashes to desktop, nut there is no message of any error whatsoever. I've tried to see in the AppCrashViewer and in the Windows Event Viewer if there is any error report, but there isn't any. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Thanks.
