High load of CPU Power if VSD is on

Featured Replies

Hello Staff,

Bryan from FS2Crew say that i take a posting here.

I have an issue with VSD with my new graphic card GTX550 Ti. Before i use GTS550 and i dont have any problem with VSD. Now with my new card i get hight load CPU. My Q6600 runs normally on thread 2 3 4. Number one is switchted off. If i switch on VSD CPU on all threads have a high load. 92-100%.

I will let you know it, so Bryan told me that you interested of this issue.

Thanks.

I'm not sure how it's been coded in the background, but wouldn't it make sense that when you ask the computer to compute more and display more, it would have an associated higher load?

If you're sure it's related to a graphics card issue, you might have more luck posting in the Hardware subforum.

Vertical Situation Display - the thing that depicts your climb and descents on the ND. Only certain equipment has it, so depending on the livery you fly, you may or may not see it.

Thanks Kyle. Now feeling more thick mind!

Swen - I take it you are using the latest drivers for your card?

And as Kyle suggests, the more demand you place the more load you would expect, although your load value seems to be on the edge! Perhaps this could be moved to the hardware forum as suggested for more response.

You're welcome. I'll ignore the location you specified under your avatar, and assume you're in my time zone, where it's still early and some people haven't had their coffee yet
