I have been fighting for weeks to fix an assumed corrupted dll.xml file that changed after an addon. I renamed it and ran FSX without one and still had my menus but without the addons, except the REX WX Advantage Radar in the addons pull down. I must have another file that is allowing the menus to show while flying but I can's find out where. Any help would be appreciated. I also have an out of place picture of the aircraft picked when I choose another airport from the startup screen. Even without the dll.xml file active. Must be simple but not for me. I need help.....fisheye

So my Flight Sim X has started crashing to desktop again. With that and my joystick losing calibration flying is no longer enjoyable. I am on windows 8 and have had frequent CTDs before. I completely eliminated the problem by installing the vista version of UIAutomationCore.dll inside C:/FSX. Well now it is still crashing. I looked in the Windows event viewer and found these application logs and I would appreciate some expertise to understand them: Yesterday: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: MSVCR80.dll, version: 8.0.50727.6910, time stamp: 0x4fee68f0 Exception code: 0xc000000d Fault offset: 0x00008aa0 Faulting process id: 0x1dd8 Faulting application start time: 0x01ceaf0c64436c72 Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6910_none_d089c358442de345\MSVCR80.dll Report Id: 3195ceed-1b09-11e3-bee4-50e549ce63df Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Today 1: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: USER32.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16420, time stamp: 0x505a971d Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00019217 Faulting process id: 0x1a14 Faulting application start time: 0x01ceaf371982e48a Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\USER32.dll Report Id: 1dbe9481-1bf5-11e3-bee4-50e549ce63df Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Today 2: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x7770bda1 Faulting process id: 0x2478 Faulting application start time: 0x01ceb0325b901d08 Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 69dbb72d-1c2a-11e3-bee4-50e549ce63df Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Today 3: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x7770bda1 Faulting process id: 0x1604 Faulting application start time: 0x01ceb0375cb550b3 Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: df71cdb8-1c2d-11e3-bee4-50e549ce63df Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Thank you to anyone who has a look at these four logs and can assist me in diagnosing and then eliminating the problem. On Windows 7 64 bit I have FSX Deluxe with SP2 applied, I have no addons or scenery packs installed, its all clean except for the UIAutomationcore.dll fix. I've been running FSX without issues for a year or so and decided to finally pick up the 737 NGX from PMDG's website. It installed fine, looks awesome, and I have no issues with performance or anything (I went through the docs and used all their recommended settings). My system is a 2.2Ghz i7 2670QM, 8gigs of ram, video is an NVIDIA GTX 580M with 2gigs of VRAM. NVIDIA driver version is 296.1 (The latest beta drivers do not help the issue). The problem: Whenever I crash the plane, FSX will display the normal green bar with red text saying "crash" as normal, but when it tries to reload the environment it will crash to the desktop! This happens 100% of the time. I can load FSX, choose the 737NGX, put in in the air, lose control (easy for me LOL), soon it slams into the ground the the crash happens. In the windows event viewer, I see the following: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3 Faulting module name: PMDG_737NGX.DLL, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4f5162a3 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0023abe6 Faulting process id: 0x1c84 Faulting application start time: 0x01cd7b157487a069 Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\FSX\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL Report Id: 821ad32a-e717-11e1-b385-9cb70d011a12 Note: I just purchased this plane two days ago, so the version I am using is the one I downloaded 2 days ago from the link PMDG sends you. Any solutions or ideas? Thanks! PS: I seen another post where people get this error when exiting FSX. I just ran FSX, loaded the 737NGX, and exited with no crash. I have not tried flying without crashing the plane, I will try that, but that isn't a resolution for a beginner pilot :)

Hi guys. I really need your help. FSX was performing well on my system until I installed that freeware Lockheed Constellation that is so popular, I 'll get the name for the next post. Lh, and a DC-4 from the same website. After I uninstalled these two add-ons, FSX was getting a CTD with the weather.dll file. Then, with the api.dll file. So, I repaired FSX and now I was getting an FS_Recorder.dll-related CTD. So, I uninstalled FS Recorder v2.18a. But then, FSX will load with nk errors, and I can set up and launch my flight. A few seconds after the flight is loaded, the simulator crashes to desktop, nut there is no message of any error whatsoever. I've tried to see in the AppCrashViewer and in the Windows Event Viewer if there is any error report, but there isn't any. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Thanks.

Hi, all, I have been flying the PMDG 747-400 for quite a while, and the last time I had flown it fine was just 2-3 days ago. When I chose the PMDG 747 to fly today, I got the following error: ================================================================================ Windows has found a problem with this file: PMDG_747400_Main.DLL Publisher: Unknown Publisher This file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher. ================================================================================ The only addons I have installed recently was KEWR scenery from Drzewiecki Design and the E190 engines from Turbine Sound Solutions. The file itself doesn't show a recent modified date. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm a bit perplexed at how something that worked just two days ago suddenly got this error. Thanks in advance to anyone who figures this one out.
