I'm Glad I bought the INIBUILDS A350 !!!

Featured Replies

Finally found some time to "fly" it and so far I've been positively impressed by various aspects of the simulation.

Did a couple flights, LPMA-LPPT and LEMD-LPPT, under the really nasty weather conditions IRL over the Iberian Peninsula, and from the performance which is basically smooth as silk at 30 fps, no stutters, to the details of the complex OIS and other systems which are still making me read and study the "new" cockpit, and even an autoland under gusting winds and turbulence, I really think it's a very nice model of an A350.

Graphically it's more than I actually needed it to be. I would gladly reduce the texture resolution a bit, to 1K, but I guess that's not possible(?)

Then, I did notice only some kind of a tendency to bank aggressively under some circumstances, bringing bank angle to the limit 30º, but for instance the pitch oscillations I had seen in some youtubes of users flying pre 1.0.4 versions didn't take place in my tests.

I asked at the support forum about the only aspect that made me mad about the way a particular feature is implemented and, from the answer I got in that thread, maybe it's even a realistic outcome of turning on the Beacon Lights 🙂 but it was painful to see most of my systems dying when, ready to start the APU, I decided to switch them on and got a "severe power shortage" 😕 because the GPU was unplugged ...

There is a setting in the OIS that can control if GPU is removed on beacon switch or not

I'm also glad to have purchased, I have the Fenix and all the PMDG planes which are also awesome. This is a similar experience for me with the A350 - seems to do everything it's supposed to do and the modern large clear glass cockpit is awesome. I'm running it on MS2024 and my PC is and i9-13900KF and a 4070Ti. Smooth performance for me under all scenarios I throw at it.

Yep, I noticed that soon after it happened, but opened a thread at their support forum asking for the limit action for reoval of the GPU connection to be the removal of the "chocks", but their answer suggests the sam can actually happen RL operations (?)

in the inimanager app, click on my products > a350 > on the a350 screen it will say 'installed' top right of screen, on the bottom right of that screen is a button called 'options', click on that and select reduce textures.

Yes I did that! Thanks!

But then I downloaded 2 liveries, IBERIA and LUFTHANSA, but I'm not sure if those are going to adhere to that lower textures resolution(?)

I appreciate it too Jose, but this last update seems to have reduced performance and also causes CTD rendering it unflyable.  Hopefully the next update will solve this for me... I never had any issues until this latest update....

When are you uninstalling 😉

Oh 😞 sorry to read that Carl - no CTDs for me so far, actually very stable.

Did you clear the WASM folder when you installed the update?

FS 2020 or 2024?

No uninstall at least until my next full MSFS uninstall 🤣
