Views/Replies dont show unless i reply

Afternoon,

 

a topic of mine which i posted yesterday evening (15 hours ago) had no views when i checked an hour ago.

 

I posted a reply to the thread and the views instantly jumped to 54.

 

within minutes i had a reply but have had nothing since and my views still only increase after i have posted a reply?

 

why is this?
