I'm a new convert and I love DX10 but...

Featured Replies

I have just made the move to DX10 after reading the "How to" doc and I'm very happy with how my FSX looks and performs now.

I'm having two issues though...

My FSX nights are so dark that while I'm on the ground I can't see where I'm going! Even my panels are so dark I can't find the light switch!

But maybe this has something to do with "Shade"... I have to do some more tests.

The other issue has to do with water. I can't get the water to look as good as it did in DX9.  :(

I took this shot where you clearly can see three levels of detail... one right below the aircraft, another slightly blurry, and a blurry mess further away!

Is this normal? I'm asking because I never noticed this in DX9. I use a LOD of 4.5 and my ground textures look good and sharp.

Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance.
