  1. I have Vsync off in MSFS and on in NVIDIA Control Panel. The settings change trick didn't work on my system.
  2. I finally got it to work with my RTX2080TI and the latest drivers (546.33). I'm using the latest version of the mod (0.9 universal). It stutters a little bit but going from 30-35 fps to 60 fps (locked) makes an enormous difference. 3440 x 1440 60 fps (DLSS Quality)
  3. I can't get this to work with my RTX2080TI. I was hoping the new version would solve the issue I'm having but it's not the case, unfortunately... As soon as I set Frame Generation to "on" and hit apply, Msfs2020 becomes slow and unresponsive. It takes several clicks for any option in the menu to register. Anyone had a similar experience?
  4. Not the latest, 546.29 here... Do you think it will make a diference if I install 546.33?
  5. I have a 2800Ti and it's not working for me... 😐 I enabled "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling", restarted my PC, merged the file with the registry and copied both files into my MSFS2020 installation (MS Store version). As soon as I enable "Frame Generation" inside MSFS2020, everything becomes "sluggish"... The menu animations and the mouse pointer move slowly across the screen. A menu option only registers after clicking several times. I haven't even tried the "Fly" button yet... Any thoughts?
  6. Just to let everyone know that I ended up uninstalling MSFS2020 from my system. During this process what I was trying to avoid eventually happened... my community folder got corrupted and was no longer accessible. I appreciate everyone's effort but I'm starting from the beginning. Should I also uninstall XBox app and Game Services? It's going to take some time getting everything the way it was... Thanks again!
  7. Yes, it makes sense. But now I have another issue... I don't have enough space to do the conversion. It needs 157 GB free and I only have 37. Meanwhile some folders were installed in my new drive (Program Files / WindowApps / Xbox Games) and I am unable to delete these folders. I tried formatting the drive but those folders remain.
  8. I tried what you suggested and while I am able to choose the new drive under "Game Install Options" when I choose "Enable" under "Advanced Management Features" the only drive that shows is the one where MSFS2020 is currently installed...
  9. This does not work for me... When I click "move" I get an error message saying the move couldn't be done with error Code: 0x80073d0b.
  10. I'm starting to think it's better to install the whole word not allowed thing again...
  11. I tried the cloning software and it seemed to work. All the files were copied to the new drive and I assigned the (D:\) to the new drive and (F:\) to the old one. I rebooted my system and was able to start MSFS2020 without a problem. As a final test, I switched the old drive to "offline" before formatting it. I'm glad I tested before because MSFS2020 does not start and I get a "This app can't open because it's offline" error message... I'm assuming it's still reading from the old drive even though it's now drive (F:\)
  12. Thank you for your help. Yes, that's what I had to do to get Windows to recognize the drive.
  13. Hello, I have MSFS2020 (MS store version) installed on a 500GB SSD that is running out of space (drive d:) I just got a 2TB SSD and I was wondering what the best way is to "move" MSFS to the new drive and format the old one. I've read that I can use the "move" option from the MSFS2020 icon in Settings/Apps but it doesn't copy everything. I'm sure there is some MS Store and MSFS data in my C:\ drive too. I tried "Disk Copy" from EaseUS and cloned the old drive into the new one, reassigned the drive letters but it didn't work. Any help appreciated! Thank you in advance.
  14. Thank you for your input. I did as you suggested and got the new SSD recognized in BIOS. Maybe I didn't install it properly into the socket the first time. What matters now is that it's working. Thank you again.
  15. Hello, I have installed a second NVMe M.2 SSD on my system and it's not getting recognized in BIOS. I have a NVMe SSD (500 GB) where Windows is installed (C:), I have a 500 GB SSD where MSFS2020 is installed (D:) and a 2TB HDD where all my other stuff is installed (E:). Since I was running out of space on my (D:) drive, I decided to buy a 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD and clone my MSFS2020 install to the new one drive. My motherboard (Asus Z390 Prime-A) has two M.2 slots. I have my OS drive installed on the M2_2 socket and installed the new one on the M2_1 socket. Both are Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD. Is there some kind of incompatibility I am not aware of or is it just a matter of configuring my BIOS properly? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  16. Thank you so much for creating something like this. "Where should I fly today?" is a question that pops into my head every time I start MSFS. This page will help a lot!
  17. Thank you all for your suggestions and help. My PC is running again. A few days ago, when I replaced my faulty 850W PSU with the 650W one, I was lazy and didn't feel like doing all the cable management again. So I replaced the PSU but kept the "old" cable that powered my SSD and HDD. Yesterday not knowing what else to do I replaced the "old" cable with the one that came with the 650W PSU and voilá... all my drives were recognized and my PC booted into Windows like nothing ever happened. I still don't understand why it didn't boot to Windows in the first place since Windows is installed on the M2 Nvme drive but I really don't care. It's working and that's all that matters. Thank you all again and hope you have a great year.
  18. Upon further testing I noticed my M2 Nvme disk is the only one detected. It is the drive where Windows 10 is installed but it won't boot into Windows. I was able to boot into recovery mode by using an USB drive. None of the recovery option work though... I tried the "Startup Repair" option first but after a few seconds I get a "Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC" message. Using the "Command Prompt" option I can see and explore my C:\ (boot) drive. Both my D:\ and E:\ drives are not detected using this method and do not show in BIOS. Back to the drawing bord.
  19. I really hope that is not what happened here. I have to find the time to do some more tests.
  20. I finally had time to test if it would work with my 650W PSU and it does. Not sure about how it will handle in the long term though. Now I have another issue. I have an M2 Nvme disk, an SSD and an HDD on my system and none of them are detected when I boot. I can get in Bios but when I exit, I go back to Bios because no boot device is detected. I'm pretty sure I connected everything correctly but I'll have to double check. I find it weird the M2 is not detected since it doesn't need any external connections.
  21. I don't think it is a failed RAM stick. I tried with one stick at a time. I think it is probably the PSU. I am going to see if it boots with a PSU I have from a previous build (Corsair HX650W).
  22. It was one of the first things I tried because I know how RAM sticks can easily fail. Unfortunately it's not the Ram sticks.
  23. Thank you both for your input. @odourboy The green light on the motherboard, according to the documentation, means the motherboard is getting power from the PSU. Regarding my monitor, it displays a "no signal" message. It doesn't get to the boot part and I can't get to the Bios because it doesn't turn on. Yes, there is some power but maybe not enough to "wake" the system? I don't know... @Bob Scott I do have a Corsair HX650 PSU from a previous build. I don't know if it will be enough power but I can try for testing purposes. I am going to open my case again and check all the connections more thoroughly. The foreign objects theory is an interesting one. I"ll check for that too. Thank you again. Hugo
  24. Hello everyone. I had my PC running this morning when it suddenly switched off. No programs running at the time. It was idle. I don't know if it was some kind of power surge/cut but when I tried to restart it, nothing happened. The green motherboard light is on as are the RGB motherboard lights. When I press the power button all I get is a "click" sound and nothing else. I tried a different power cord, connected to a different wall socket. I discharged the cappacitors by holding the power button while the PSU power button was in the off position. I built this system in 2020 and has been running fine since then. Is there any tests I can do to determine if it's "just" the PSU or something more serious like the motherboard or processor? My PSU is a Corsair TX850M. Any help greatly appreciated. Hugo
