This video shows a typical practice flight in the Extra 300L out of KBVU, from engine start to landing--trimmed to emphasize the aerobatic maneuvers. I flew a series of maneuvers, including aileron and 4-point rolls, half-Cuban 8s, and vertical rolls. Keen observers will note that my avalanches (loops with snap rolls on top) need work--but that's why we practice, especially after being away from acro for a while. My umbrella (not a competition figure) was also sloppy (but fun). You may also notice how important it is to look around--not just stare straight ahead--during most maneuvers. Checking the wingtips, looking back toward the tail, etc. all help you maintain orientation during maneuvers and fly more precisely. Learning where to look when is a key part of aerobatic training. I adjusted the GoPro on my head to show a bit more of the instrument panel at some points, although as I often explain, except for a couple of checks of the gauges at the beginning of and between maneuvers, flying aerobatics well depends on keeping your eyes outside the cockpit.
