Embraer v2 MCDU FS9 Flight Plans Invalid

I am using the Wilco Embraer 175 & 195 on FS9.  I am having problems entering the origin and the destination into the MCDU.  Firstly, the origin does not automatically appear after aligning the IRS as the manual and online tutorials seem to show, rather Im left with some orange underspaces.  If I try to manually enter the origin or destination ICAO code, the scratchpad displays 'invalid entry'.  If I try and load a flight plan from the flight sim, the scratchpad reads out 'can not import plan'.

Anybody have any ideas how to rectify this?  Help is much appreciated because this looks like its going to be a fun plane to fly!
