I would like to move the(pilot) view in the vc panel more to the left so that the Artificial Horizon gauge is in front of me rather than to my left.  I'd like to make this a default view for a specific aircraft.

Can someone direct me to the correct files and locations as well as which variables I need to tweak?

You probably want the aircraft.cfg "eyepoint" entry:

Here is the entry I modicied for my A2A B-17 to move the eyepoint forward (8.00)

The 2nd parameter is the horizontal displacement, minus is left from the centerline of the model.

The third parameter if the vertical offset, positive is up.
