FS2004 DISC 3 WILL NOT LOAD SOME SCENERY FILES

Featured Replies

I started to load fs2004 from scratch.  Some disc 3 scenery files will not load; i.e HP919090.bgl, HP920060.bgl, and HP919060.bgl.  These files hung up and did not load except for .9090 and 9060 only after 10 or so tries; once I got to 920060.bgl I tried 25 times to "Retry" and it just would not load or copy to C drive....?????

I have been using this program since 2007 with no problem in reloading FS2004 where all 4 discs loaded with no problems!

Any advice would be appreciated! I am using Windows XP with a 160GB drive. the error i get is: "FILE WILL NOT COPY TO DRIVE. CHECK TO SEE IF DRIVE HAS ENOUGH ROOM OR IF FILE IS IN USE."  Note: file cannot be in use as I am trying to initially load FS2004!!!

Thanks,

Dave Howell

Are you sure you are installing FS9 into a completely clean location, as in no leftover bits from a previous installation? A complete removal of the prior installation or failed attempts to install may solve your problem - you may need to look for and manually delete some files and folders before you try again. Inspect your #3 disc for damage or smudges that might prevent proper reading. Let us know how things go.
