Orbx Free Airport Pack 8 & VFR Appalachia

Featured Replies

Quite some time ago I bought and installed VFR Appalachia, payware that contains several upgraded airports in the PA, VA, WV area.  One of those airports is KHSP Hot Springs VA, an airport my virtual airline (see below) flies in & out of quite frequently.

The latest Orbx free airport upgrade pack also contains KHSP as one of its airports.  Does anyone have any idea if there will be some scenery conflict if I install freeware pack 8?  Will Pack 8 simply overwrite the VFR Appalachia version or vice/versa?  Is there any way I can simply delete the files from the Orbx pack directly related to KHSP?

In a former ORBX pack there were conflicts between three of their airports and U.S. City Los Angeles. In order to "switch off" the corresponding ORBX files, I created a subfolder and moved the files (a set of three files per airport affected) there.

You'll find a similar suggestion in an ORBX release thread here: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/65057-ftx-global-freeware-airports-na-pack-1/?p=594915

Ahh, I see.  Thanks so much.  I was afraid to ask the question over at the Orbx forums, they seem to get hostile at times.

On a little more reflection I have to admit to not knowing where the airports install.  Which folder?

Duh, I'll try to read more closely next time before sticking my foot in my mouth.  Thanks for being patient.
