I want to improve my FSX. I'm running FSX with DX-10. Question, are Ulimate Terrain X and Orbx FTX Global the same type programs? If so, which is better.

UTX is a vector/landclass software.

 

Ftx global is texture.

 

Think of it as a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake:

 

FS global 2010 or ultimate is your cheese which gives you cake elevation.

 

UTX or FTX vector is your white chocolate which shows all the roads and rivers on your... Cake!

 

Raspberries are Ftx global or GEX - they make your cake look beautiful.

 

And there is Confectioner who puts all the ingredients in right places (landclass - for eg openLC)
