Question About Installing QW 757 SP3

Hi folks,

So I downloaded SP3 last night and installed it.

I did not know the patch contained the full installer.  As a result, I didn't uninstall the previous version first.  I basically installed SP3 over the previous version.

Is this OK?  Should I uninstall and just re-install SP3 only?

Oh yeah, just one last question...  When I start my flights, I turn on the APU and shut the engines off to give me a "before engine start" state.  When I'm on pushback and getting my engines started, I don't hear the safety announcement.  All the other announcements are working fine.  Anybody know how to get the safety announcement working?

It's not a big deal because I use FS Cabin Crew, but just curious.

Thanks

I havent performed the update myself, but I would recommend fully uninstalling and just installing the SP3 full installer just to be safe.  The QWPAS safety announcement only plays under certain conditions.  The big one being you have to be at least 3000ft from the selected departure runway threshold.

The above link has a link to a video tutorial on QWPAS and lists the conditions that have to be met to get each of the announcements to play.

Also if you read the manual to the aircraft you will find a point in there where it says how you can load up the aircraft Cold and Dark without having to do what you just described.

Hope this helps
