January 26, 200521 yr I have the Saitek X45, which I love, except for the rudder control. It is placed on the throttle. It seems very sensitive as well, as it has taken months to perfect and I am still far from perfect using it. I was wondering what you all think of the CH Pro Pedals. They look very inviting. Before I purchase, does anyone have any advice on whether it would be worth buying. Would taxing be easier? Would making a perfect coordinated turn be easier? Or is it just an FS issue that would cause problems with any rudder control being too sensitive? Thanks.
January 26, 200521 yr I have an X45 and was given the Pro Pedals for Christmas. I love them although they also take some getting used to. The X45 rudder worked fine but the pedals do take it a step above. No issues using the combination.
January 26, 200521 yr I have the CH pedals and they really enhance the feel. They're much more precise and accurate than the crappy twist grip control of most joysticks.Taxiing is also easier...once you get used to steering with your feet... which takes a while. When I first got the pedals I always turned in the wrong direction and destroyed about $200 million worth of hangars and parked aircraft :-lol that's how I discovered that they work the *oposite* of how bicycle handlebars work :( -
January 27, 200521 yr Thanks for the info, the plane I fly outside of the computer uses foot pedals to steer as well, so it sounds like I got to get em!!
February 1, 200521 yr Just wanted to let you all know that the pedals make all the difference in the world. I thought the taxi situation could never be solved w/FS, but now taxing is a breeze. For take off before I would always jerk right, jerk left, but now I know it was just the joystick rudder control. Take offs are easy now, down the center line every time! If you can get them I would highly recommend it. Flying is 10 X more enjoyable!!!!
