My Orbx and P3D

Featured Replies

I am seriously considering a move to P3D.  I have an extensive list of Orbx purchases (and available downloads of course) at the FlightSimStore.  Are those purchases the latest updated programming from Orbx and now have P3D installers as part of the packages or do I have to buy everything (frightening thought, financially) new?

To my knowledge which isn't great on Orbx products any release from FTX Ireland (Decemer 2013) has a native P3d installer any product before that is still waiting to be updated with new installers.I could be wrong but that is how I understand it.you shouldn't have to purchase again but you may be in for a long wait.

I sure hope you're wrong or they get the older products updated quickly.  Everything I've got is older than that.

There is AU SP4 - EU IRL/NIR and US NCA currently for P3Dv2.1+ and I've read there is a beta US PNW so that can't be far away for release. I am desperate for a v2.1 PNW and Bowerman... in the mean time I use them in FSX and am happy to wait for proper P3D support, which will come free of charge.

Dan, if you don't have NCA then do yourself a favour and buy it.... it may just be the best thing Orbx have done, and it works very nicely in P3Dv2.1+hot-fix.

I'm more than likely going to move to P3D later this month.  I've been looking at the screenies of NCA and have to say it is stunning but will hold off until the new sim is up and running.

I take it FTXG is not yet ready for P3D yet either then?  I'll be waiting for that update too.

No sorry forgot to say FTXG also as a native installer. I have FTXG running with P3d.

Ahh, cool.  Now for FTXGV1.1 to be released.  Oh yeah, and a sim to put them in.

Once I have the sim I'll be able to use the freeware airport packs and will have plenty of nice looking spots to visit.
