DX10 Aclarity System Explorer... In efforts to get the best performance.

Featured Replies

AlacrityPC has been posted about in several areas.  This program is really nice in allowing FSXX to get ALL the resources available for your particular computer setup.  It does this by shutting down unwanted background programs of all kinds, before launching FSXX and then it can be set to turn them back on when you exit.

This allows your PC to devote all available resources to FSXX giving you a performance boost to some degree depending on your setup.  It also shuts down whatever you want that might access information online giving you the "stutters" while you are trying to enjoy a nice flight.

So in efforts to use this program myself I found it a little daunting as I don't know a whole lot about all the processes going on for any given machine.  In looking for help I found some rather good material and a nifty freeware program that in my opinion goes well with AlacrityPC when you go to clean up your machine for streamline performance.

Called System Explorer (some already use it) it gives background info on files, processes, performance REAL TIME.  If you want details about a certain process it will go to their database and give you details (who, what, why, etc) about the process etc in question, giving you a lot better idea of whether you should shut down a process etc or not.

So

So yes, it may be you could do this with Task Manager etc but I like the "all in one" or  "one stop shop" if you will of these two programs, coupled with
the access to the online database right there for you to point and click for the info instead of spending a lot of time googling processes and services.

Hope this helps your mileage may vary!
