Re: Major FPS Problem

Featured Replies

I posted a day or so that I was getting really nasty FPS with a 3.2 GHZ P4 and an ATI x800xt PE installed.I've sinced found that my power supply is only 240W, whereas ATI reccommend at least a 300W supply for the card.Could this be the problem I'm experiencing, just a lack of power for the graphics card and maybe even the CPU to operate at optimum levels. Thanks for any help.-Phil

Make sure all your drivers are up to date. For the longest time my system ran far slower than I thought it should, turned out I forgot to update my VIA chipset drivers, it made quite a difference (as my AGP port wouldn't run properly without them).Worst case scenerio power supplies are generally under $100.
