Two computer questions driving me nuts

Recommended Posts

Some how or some way I lost the ability to use the back arrow button on my XP folders. AndWhen I want to open up a jpeg file I can't just click on it but I have to right click and say open with Internet Explorer. What a pain! Anyone know how I can get the back arrow (top left part of the folder) to work and just click on jpeg files and have them open up and show a screen-shot?Many ThanksEd

Computers get kind of lost sometimes. Right click on the tool bar in windoze explorer and select customize. Then find the arrows and put them in the right window. To automatically select a program to open a file right click on the file (jpg graphic in this case) and select "open with" and find the program you want to use.

For the jpeg issue ... right click on any jpg file, click on properties .... on the general tab there should be a button "Change" ..... click on that and a dialog should appear where you can select the appropriate program .... this method sets that program as the default program for jpg files ...
